Nwafor reportedly condemned the early distribution by INEC stating that his party was concerned about the motivation for the action by the electoral body.

Speaking on Governor Rochas Okorocha’s refusal to support the APC Governorship candidate, Hope Uzodinma, Nwafor said the party was not dismayed by the refusal to endorse him.

He, however, confessed that this had affected the strength of the APC in the state, but assured that the party was optimistic about its electoral chances in the elections.

He said, “It is regrettable that some people’s action and inaction have affected the strength of the party, but we are working very hard, we are still very optimistic that we would win.”

Okorocha was recently suspended by the National Working Committee, of the All Progressives Congress, APC alongside his counterpart in Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun over allegations that they carried out ‘anti party’ activities.

Okorocha, has been rallying support for the, governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), Uche Nwosu, who is also his son-in-law.
