Published

on

Contrary to speculations that senators were collecting signatures to impeach President Buhari, Saturday Telegraph was reliably informed that there was no such move in the apex legislative chamber at the moment.

A senator, who is close to the leadership of the Senate and spoke on the condition of anonymity told Saturday Telegraph correspondent that the speculation was unfounded and should therefore, be disregarded by the general public.

The National Assembly, had on Tuesday, cautioned President Muhammadu Buhari to respect the rule of law, curtail killings across the country and stops the harassment and humiliation of political opponents or it would evoke relevant provisions of the Constitution against him.
