‘In response to calls by my people’, I’m running for Senate— Kwara Gov

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has declared his intention to run for Senate in Kwara South senatorial district.

The governor revealed this via his Twitter handle on Saturday.

He said his decision was “in response to calls by his people” to ensure “effective, purposeful representation”.

The tweet read: “In response to calls by my people and in keeping with my strong desire to upscale the excellent work we have done in all three zones of the state, through effective, purposeful representation, I have picked up the PDP nomination form for Kwara South Senatorial District.”
