KILLINGS: Wike mocks Gov Ortom, calls for state of emergency in Benue

With about two years to the conduct of the 2019 general elections in Nigeria, the Rivers State governor, Nyesome Wike has alleged that the electoral umpire has connived with the ruling APC to rig the elections.

Wike alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission has met with the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure that modalities are put in place to undermine the votes of Nigerians, and ensure victory for the APC.

He spoke during a visit to Etche Local Government Area of the state, to thank the people for their support to the PDP during the just concluded supplementary elections.

According to him, INEC had consulted with the APC and agreed to transfer compromised electoral officers from APC controlled states to Rivers to ensure it is taken from the PDP.

Wike said, “INEC is planning to rig the 2019 general elections. They claim that they are re-deploying the 23 electoral officers in the state. But we have authentic intelligence report that INEC has consulted APC and they plan to post electoral officers from APC states to Rivers State.

“These electoral officers being handpicked from APC states are to help in rigging the elections in 2019.”

The governor declared that no matter what INEC and APC plan, people of the state will reject any attempt to undermine their wishes, as far as elections in the state are concerned.

“If they like, let them post their fathers to Rivers State, we will resist any attempt to rig the 2019 elections in the state. Our people will remain vigilant.

“They can rig in another state, certainly not Rivers. For us, we must elect our representatives through the democratic process. Nobody will intimidate us”, he said.

The governor further declared, “The head is rotten. You have to cut off the head. They should first cut off the head before coming down to the lower rung of the ladder.”

      Aboki
Wike is going to spend good 8years. So apc is not a threat to him. He only raised the alarm as it is necessary.

Wike is a foolish man, he believes he can just say anything and the public will agree with him without any form of verification. Since he said he has evidence, he should head to the law court with his evidence!

No political party in this country can be trusted, if Wike feels threatened by the rig, he should also organise how PDP would rig the election, after all they all do it, it’s not special.

Thank you bro. It is as simple as that. Don’t mind wike, if you see the thugs he is empowering to rig the election, you will fear. Those cultists he gave amnesty the other are prepared already. The election will do or die affairs.
