INEC discloses number of registered voters for 2019 election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday announced the officially number of registered voters to participate in the 2019 general elections.

The commission, which made the announcement in a post on its Twitter handle, said eighty-four million, four thousand and eighty four Nigerians (84,004,84) were registered and expected to cast their votes in the coming elections.

It also said that it had handed the National Register of Voters to political parties.

“For the 2019 General Elections, the official total number of registered voters is: 84,004,084 ( Eighty Four Million, Four Thousand, and Eighty Four),” the electoral body said.
