Otunba Gani Adams, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, has assured South Westerners of his resolve to battle insecurity in the region to a standstill.

The Yoruba generalissimo, made the battle cry to tackle insecurity while addressing a mammoth crowd consisting of members of Oodua Peoples Congress(OPC), osun adherents and other traditionalists who came to celebrate this year’s Osun Osogbo festival on Friday.

According to Gani Adams, four months is all he needs to end the rising wave of banditry and kidnapping in the South West using resources available within, to nip the challenge in the bud.

While re-emphasing his commitment to end insecurity in the region, Gani Adams said; “As the generalissimo of Yoruba land, my duty among others is to ensure that Yoruba people are protected against any forces”.

“I am a warrior and I’m ordained to ensure that Yoruba people are protected. I am assuring you that I would use everything within my reach to make sure problem of insecurity becomes an issue of the past. I will make sure I crush insecurity in the Southwest”, he added.
