IPOB backs Kanu’s wife, insists no faction or political wing exist
The Head of Directorate of States of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Chika Edoziem, has thrown his weight behind the insistence of the wife of detained leader of the group, Nnamdi Kanu, Uchechi, that there is no political wing within the group.
Uchechi had, in a post on X on Wednesday, described those behind the IPOB-Political Wing (PW), as faceless buffoons who have failed in their attempt to destabilize the group.
Uchechi who descended hard on an alleged splinter group, called them a sham that do not speak for her husband.
“Who are these faceless fools? What is and who are the people behind this sham called IPOB-PW?
“Be aware that IPOB–PW is a hoax and does not speak for #NnamdiKanu or #IPOB.
“#IPOB does not have any other branch. It is only one #IPOB all over the world – One Family,” she had written.
Echoing in the same vein, Edoziem who also reacted to a recent statement by a new group with claims that Kanu had authorized it to open negotiations with the Nigerian government on the future of South East Nigeria, said nothing of the sort happened.
In a statement posted on the X handle of IPOB Central, Edoziem insisted
that there are no factions in the group nor a political wing within the ranks of the Biafra agitators.

The statement reads:
“It has come to the attention of the Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra about certain charlatans claiming that IPOB has formed a political wing that will essentially participate in the discredited Nigerian political system.
“These charlatans seem not to have learnt from history. For the avoidance of doubt, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has not formed and will not form a political wing with the view to getting involved in a system that has been programmed ab initio to suppress and subjugate our people for ever.
“Those strutting around forming political wings and governments do not really understand the fulcrum of what the Biafra freedom movement is all about.
“A Sovereign Biafran Nation will never be a replication of a discredited Nigerian political system, and the DOS will never do anything to jeopardise the purity of a new Biafran Nation.
“As a matter of fact, our political system in Biafra will be ORIGINAL and not a copy of the world’s political systems as we know them.
“Our #OriginalBiafranpoliticalsystem will be unveiled at the appropriate time. For the DOS, timing is key to our actions and this will remain so going forward.”
