‘IPOB has touched the tail of a lion’, we’ll expose sponsors of Ekweremadu attack soon —Ohanaeze

For the second time in 24 hours, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC) has reacted to the attack on former Deputy Senate President, Chief Ike Ekweremadu by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The OYC has stated this time that the sponsors of the attack on Ekweremadu in Nuremberg, Germany have been identified and would be exposed soon.

This was revealed by the Secretary-General of the OYC, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, during a press briefing in Enugu on Sunday.

Nnabuike also revealed during the press briefing that after carrying out an investigation, it was established that the action of the IPOB members and their pay masters was all about the 2023 elections.

He said: “This is an affront not just on Ekweremadu but on Ndigbo, which Ekweremadu represents. It is on record that Distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu has put his very best in championing Igbo interest in and out of the National Assembly.

“It is therefore a slap on our face for anyone to visit such animalistic treatment on him under whatever guise.

“From our investigation, we understand that this is all about 2023, but we shall soon expose the politicians behind this dance of shame. They hid under the IPOB to perpetrate this global shame.

“On the part of IPOB, for allowing itself to be used, it has touched the tail of a lion. Indeed this shall not be taken for granted.

“If IPOB so love Ndigbo as it claims, what strategy has it put in place to checkmate the excesses of the herdsmen in Igbo land? We repeat, their action was purely sponsored by politicians and they should get ready to hear from us,” Nnabuike added.
