IPOB threatens to deal with S’East lawmakers if Nigerian govt sets up IDP camp in Imo

Outlawed Igbo separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has threatened to deal with the senator representing Imo North Senatorial District, Frank Ibezim, and the lawmakers representing Owerri and Orlu zones of the state if the the federal government goes ahead to set up an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in the state or any other part of the South-East.

IPOB made the threat in a statement issued on Thursday by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, following rumours that the Nigerian government was planning to establish an IDPs skills acquisition center in Imo State.

In the statement, IPOB said it categorically rejects any attempt to set up such a camp in any part of Biafra land and would deal ruthlessly with lawmakers from the region if they fail to oppose such moves which it says is a covert operation to import terrorists into the South-East by the Nigerian government.

“The Directorate of State (DOS) of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) wishes to reiterate our unequivocal rejection of the establishment of any IDP skills acquisition center in any part of Biafra Land,” the IPOB statement said.

“We are Biafrans, and we do not have displaced persons seeking shelter or skill acquisition from the Nigerian government.

“As a matter of fact Biafrans know the true agenda behind this proposed skills acquisition center project. We state categorically that this covert operation to import terrorists and bandits into Biafra Land is dead on arrival.

“In the light of the said project, IPOB is warning all Igbo politicians who see the deployment of terrorists and bandits in the name of IDP camp as their dividend of democracy from a Federal Government that hate the Igbo Nation of Biafra to be ready for the consequences.

“All the Imo State politicians that colluded with Hope Uzodinma to import Fulanis and alamajiris using the IDP Skill Acquisition Center as a cover to be prepared for what is coming.

“What these politicians do not understand is that Alaigbo is a sacred land that can never be polluted nor conquered by their uncircumcised invader friends.

IPOB and Ndigbo will not sit by and watch the selfish and treacherous politicians mortgage the future of unborn Biafran generations for their political ambition. We will not allow the importation of foreign terrorist marauders into Biafra Land in their quest to change the demography and homogeneity of the Biafra Nation.

“Senator Frank Ibezim and the other two senators representing Owerri zone and Orlu zone must receive the consequences for handing over Imo State for IDP camp while our youths have no industry or companies in the same state to employ them.

“These senators hiding in Abuja and in their well fortified homes working on importing terrorists and their informants using IDP camp will have themselves to blame. We fought and frustrated the Fulani government of Nigeria’s RUGA project.

“We also fought and resisted Fulani invasion when they forcefully occupied our forest and bushes. We shall always resist any form of Fulani encroachment into the Biafra territory by any other means. The wise learn from history.

‘In the eighteenth century, the Indigenous Hausa politicians thought they would use the Fulani militias to remain politically relevant but ended up selling their generations to the Fulani Caliphate, who later conquered them. Today, both the Hausa politicians and the Hausa people have been enslaved in their lands by the Fulani Caliphate.

“Therefore, the stupid and selfish Igbo politicians who thought they would remain politically relevant forever by pleasing their Fulanis masters should learn from the mistake of the indigenous Hausa politicians. Whether some of the greedy and idiotic Igbo politicians like it or not, IPOB and Ndigbo will not allow them to mortgage Ndigbo’s future generations for their momentary and political relevance and gain.

“No inch of Biafra Land is available for IDP camp. The internally displaced persons in the North should be accommodated in the Northern region where there is a vast spance of land. Igbo greedy politicians should know this and know peace.’
