Iran vows to continue oil export despite US ban, threats

The government of Iran has vowed to continue oil export and also affirmed its commitment to stand firm despite re-imposed economic sanctions on the Islamic republic.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani made that much known while speaking to state broadcaster IRINN on Wednesday.

He said: “If the Americans want to keep this simplistic and impossible idea in their minds, they should also know its consequences.”

“They can’t think that Iran won’t export oil and others will export.”

Rouhani’s comments are coming hours after US President Donald Trump warned countries against doing business with Iran while sanctions against Tehran persists.

Trump issued the warning on Tuesday when he wrote on social media that “anyone doing business with Iran will NOT be doing business with the United States”.

“I am asking for WORLD PEACE, nothing less!” Trump said.
