Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards vow to avenge military parade attack
Still reeling from the deadly military parade assault which claimed the lives of 25 people, including 12 of their comrades, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has vowed to avenge attack.
The elite Revolutionary Guards in a statement issued on Sunday vowed to exact “deadly and unforgettable” vengeance.
“Considering (the Guards’) full knowledge about the centres of deployment of the criminal terrorists’ leaders …, they will face a deadly and unforgettable vengeance in the near future,” the Guards said in a statement carried by state media.

The attack saw four assailants dressed in fatigues open fire on a military parade in southwestern Iran, killing 29 victims and wounded 70 others.
Moments after the attack, the Iranian state-run IRNA news agency revealed that among those killed included members of the elite Revolutionary Guards and women and children who had come to watch the parade.
According to Iran’s armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, three of the attackers died at the scene while a fourth was arrested and later succumbed to his wounds.
