ISALE EKO: Gov Ambode to make debut appearance on stage

Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is set to make his debut drama appearance as he is earmarked to appear on stage for a three minute cameo in the second edition of the anticipated stage play titled ‘Isale Eko’.

Ambode’s cameo appearance will witness him take the lead actress on a tour of 14th century Lagos, showing her key socio economic developmental projects thereby further selling his vision to the people of Lagos.

His appearance is expected to provide a fresh twist to this year’s edition set to be staged on Democracy day in celebration of the state governor.

According to the executive producer of the play, Joseph Edgar, Ambode’s strides in Lagos will this June be celebrated through songs and dance.

“The giant strides of the Ambode led Administration in Lagos especially in its support for the entertainment industry, infrastructural development and the empowerment of the citizenry to mention just a few remains quite impressive and the stage plays is a way to celebrate his efforts,” Edgar said.

The play which will be staged at the Muson Centre and premiered on June 12th is expected to feature some of the most established thespians in the industry led by veteran actor and TV Presenter, Yemi Shodimu.
