ISIL claims responsibility for bomb blast at Pakistani shrine which killed 52

Dreaded terrorist group ISIL has claimed responsibility for the fatal bomb attack at a shrine in Balochistan, Pakistan which claimed the lives of 52 people and injured a hundred others.

According to Provincial Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, the shrine in southern Pakistan located in the Hub district of the restive Balochistan province was filled with hundreds of worshipers when the blast occurred.

Local district commissioner Hashim Ghalzai said at least 100 people were wounded, and were rushed to the district headquarters of Hub and the port city of Karachi located nearly 100km south of the blast site.

“There was a very large crowd at that Sufi shrine when the explosion happened,” Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder said. “They were commemorating the Sufi saint’s 500th birth anniversary. People killed include women and children,” said the Al Jazeera correspondent reporting from the capital Islamabad.
