The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has announced on Saturday afternoon the opening of a 30-bed isolation facility Centre built in 12 days to treat coronavirus patients in the state

Obaseki made the announcement via his Twitter handle.

“I’m glad to inform #Edopeople that we have successfully opened a new ultra modern 30-bed isolation facility at the #StellaObasanjoHospital, he said.

He added that it is an “additional facility built in 12 days, to ensure that #Edopeople get top-notch treatment if they contract #Covid19”.

The governor stated that the centre is well equipped to successfully treat patients infected with COVID-19 as it has modern equipment and handled by professionals in the medical field.

“The facility is of world class standard and well equipped with 15 ventilators, oxygen concentrators, dialysis and mobile x-ray machines, among others. Above all, the centre is handled by experts, retrained to offer superlative medical services.”

On Friday, the governor disclosed on his Twitter that five Coronavirus patients had recovered and have been discharged.

The state has recorded a total of 15 coronavirus cases.
