ISRAEL: PM Netanyahu indicted for bribery, fraud and breach of trust

Trouble seems to be looming for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after local police recommended indicting him for bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

According to lsraeli police the indictment comes after months of investigation into two corruption cases involving Netanyahu who seems rather unperturbed by the allegations.

In a live television address on Tuesday, an unmoved Netanyahu said he intends to stay in power and that the police recommendations would “end with nothing”.

“All I did was for the benefit of the state of Israel,” Netanyahu said, as reported by The Jerusalem Post.
“This is what I did up until now and what I will continue to do.”

Further findings revealed that recommendations by Israeli police against Netanyahu will now go to the attorney general, who will decide whether to prosecute him or not.
