Israeli airstrike kills 15 in Lebanon

An Israeli airstrike has killed at least 15 people in south of Beirut, Lebanon.

The Lebanese Health Ministry disclosed this on Wednesday.

Residents told journalists the strike hit the coastal area of Barja, 20 kilometres south of Beirut, and killed the victims, including a Hezbollah official who was in an apartment.

The building collapsed.

Lebanese security agents said the Hezbollah official who was killed had been in charge of distributing money to followers of the movement displaced by the fighting.
