Israeli soldier kills 15-yr-old in stone throwing incident
A stone-hurling incident near the West Bank village of Beit Sira witnessed the shooting of a 15-year-old bystander who was hit  by a stray bullet fired by Israeli soldiers.
The unfortunate incident saw Israeli soldiers responding with gunfire after being hurled with stones thrown at their vehicles parked around the West Bank area.
The deceased Palestinian teen was identified by the mayor of his village as Mahmoud Badran while an earlier statement from the Israeli military had identified the boy as an assailant.
Abdul Karim Kassem, head of the local council of the Palestinian village of Beit Ore-Tahta, told Reuters news agency that the teenager was in a car with other passengers “returning from a pool in a village near us when they came under fire”.
