SUMMON: I need explanations, your letter is confusing, Fani-Kayode tells IGP

Former Aviation Minister and one of President Muhammadu Buhari’s fiercest critics, Femi Fani-Kayode, has listed some of the issues he would want to form the discussion between the Nigeria President and the President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, when they meet on April 30 in Washington DC.

Among the issues the former minister said he would want to see discussed during the meeting include the allegations that Buhari’s government is encouraging ethnic cleansing, genocide, mass murder, state-sponsored terror, unprecedented corruption, monumental incompetence, the persecution of opposition figures, the murder of Christians, IPOB youths and Shiite Muslims, as well as the alleged Islamisation of Nigeria.

Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, the major opposition party in Nigeria, expressed joy that the US government just released a report on human rights violation currently ongoing in the country.

He wrote on his Twitter handle, “U.S. govt. just released a damning human rights report on Nigeria, saying grave violations continued to increase in 2017 while officials who perpetrated them were never prosecuted by @MBuhari. It said Nigeria is suffering from ‘ethnic, religious and regional violence’.

“This is the bitter truth. Ethnic cleansing, genocide, mass murder, state-sponsored terror, unprecedented corruption, monumental incompetence, the persecution of opposition figures, the murder of Christians, IPOB youths and Shiite Muslims, the Islamisation of the nation, the covert support for and encouragement of murderous Islamist and jihadist terror groups like the Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram and so on and so forth are now the cornerstone of @MBuhari’s govt.

“I sincerely hope that these issues will form part of the discussions that will take place in the meeting betwen @realDonaldTrump and @MBuhari on 30th April.

“They should also discuss the shameful way in which the @BarackObama administration interfered in Nigeria’s 2015 election and assisted @MBuhari to come to power and the $500 million that the @MBuhari administration contributed, through various fronts and companies like the Chagoury brothers, to @HillaryClinton ‘s 2016 presidential campaign.”
