A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has described as incredible that Kano State Governor Abdullahi would be demanding for the relaxation of lockdown in the state.

He said it was amazing for the governor to make such demand, over Ramadan, when people in Kano State were “still dropping dead like flies”.

Following the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Kano and recent death surge in the state suspected to be due to the dreaded virus, President Muhammadu Buhari, during a national broadcast on Monday, ordered a two-week lockdown of Kano.

However, the governor on Thursday, pleaded with the Federal Government to relax the lockdown especially due to Ramadan, so that the people would restock their food.

But writing on his Twitter account, @realFFK, Fani-Kayode said, “It amazes me that the Governor of Kano can be asking for a relaxation of the lockdown in his state because of Ramadan even when his people are still dropping dead like flies.

“Did Christians ask for a relaxation of the lockdown during Easter?”
