Nigeria international, and Stoke City striker, Osaze Odemwingie says it has been tough on him sitting out his injury since he was sidelined last August after suffering a serious knee ligament injury.

He however, said he was happy to resume training with the Stoke squad on Thursday.

“It has been tough but the medical staff have been brilliant and helped me enormously,” he told Stoke City website.

“It’s been just over six months now but these injuries can be nine months, so I’m really happy that I’m back training.

“I played a few small-sided games last week and Tuesday, and tomorrow I’ll be back in the fold and hopefully I’ll be ready as soon as possible,” he said.
