The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Senator Bala Mohammed, the winner of the March 9 governorship election in Bauchi State.
Bala, a former minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The former minister polled 515,113 votes to defeat the incumbent governor, Mohammed Abubakar of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 500,625 votes.
The election was earlier declared inconclusive by INEC after collation and announcement of results of the March 9 election. The electoral body fixed March 23 for supplementary election before it changed gear for conclusion of collation.
However, an Abuja High Court ordered against the conclusion of collation before the order was lifted on Monday.
