Iwobi bags assist in Arsenal's defeat at Bournemouth

Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi was involved in a goal in the 2-1 defeat of Arsenal at Bournemouth on Sunday.

The Gunners continued their miserable recent run as goals from Callum Wilson and Jordon Ibe saw the hosts come from behind to earn the victory.

Defender Hector Bellerin had given Arsenal the lead 7 minutes into the second half when he latched on to a defence-splitting Alex Iwobi pass to squeeze the ball past the keeper.

But Wilson took advantage of Petr Cech’s indecision on 70 minutes to level both sides, before assisting Ibe for the winner only 4 minutes after.

Arsene Wenger’s men are now without a win in five games in all competitions, as the result puts a further dent in their pursuit of a top-four place this season.

Arsenal are currently eight points adrift of fourth place in the Premier League, while Bournemouth extended their unbeaten run to four games to move further away from the bottom three.
