Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were in action for Fulham as they fell to a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Nigerian duo could not help Fulham fight back.

Manchester United scored in the 78th minute with what was their first shot on target. A Lisandro Martinez’s deflected strike.

The Red Devils thought they had doubled their lead in added time, but it was ruled out for offside by the VAR.

The Ruben Amorim side struck late to win an even contest at Old Trafford back in August and once again they punished Fulham in the closing stages.

With the win, United have now won back-to-back games having beating Rangers in the Europa League in midweek, cameot moves them up to 12th in the Premier League. Fulham, meanwhile, remain 10th.

The Foxes successfully ended a winless run that has gone over eight games.

Spurs suffered a fourth consecutive Premier League defeat as Leicester climbed out of the relegation zone with the effort.

In the other Premier League games on Sunday, Aston Villa and West Ham played a 1-1 draw while Crystal Palace lost 2-1 to visiting Brentford.
