Iwobi to face Musa as Arsenal draw CSKA in Europa League last eight

Super Eagles duo of Alex Iwobi and Ahmed Musa will be playing against each other as their clubs, Arsenal and CSKA Moscow have been drawn in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Iwobi was benched on Thursday when Arsenal defeated AC Milan 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium to qualify for this stage of the competition after also beaten the Italians 2-0 at San Siro a week before.

Musa, on the other hand, helped his side secure their qualification after he scored in their 3-2 win over Olympique Lyon in France.

It was Musa’s first goal since his return on loan to the Russian side, who advanced on away goals rule having been defeated 1-0 at home by the Ligue 1 giants.

The Gunners will host the first leg of the tie at Emirates on 5th of April with the return leg in Moscow a week later.

Also in the draw which took place on Friday, Spanish side Atletico Madrid were drawn against Sporting Lisbon of Portugal; Germany’s RB Leipzig against Marseille, while Ital’s Lazio face Salzburg of Austria.
