Iwobi 'feeling sharper' after Arsenal win

Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi says he’s “feeling sharper and fitter” after his club Arsenal secured a comfortable win in their final Australia tour win.

The Gunners won 3-1 against Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday, thanks to goals from Olivier Giroud, Aaron Ramsey and Mohamed Elneny.

All three goals for the Arsene Wenger’s men came in the first half, before Steven Lustica netted in Western Sydney’s consolation goal in the last 45 minutes.

Iwobi featured for 66 minutes before being replaced by Reiss Nelson.

The Nigerian star went on to Twitter after the game and wrote on his official handle, @alexiwobi:

“Feeling Sharper And Fitter. Another Good Win Today ✔ Great To Get Another Assist #BIG17 #ArsenalinSydney.”

Arsenal are obviously having a great summer. They also defeated Sydney FC 2-0 last Thursday, when new signing Alexandre Lacazette scored his first goal for the Premier League club since completing a record £52million move to the Emirates.

Arsenal’s next pre-season friendly is against Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup next Wednesday, July 19, in China.
