Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi was absent in Arsenal’s matchday squad that defeated Cardiff City 3-2 in a Premier League game on Sunday.

Alexander Lacazette fired the winner for the Gunners in the 81st minute of the thrilling encounter.

The result means Cardiff City are yet to secure a win in the league this season, while Arsenal have won twice in their four games so far.

Arsenal led their hosts twice, through Shkodran Mustafi’s header in the first half and a curling effort from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the second half.

The hosts equalised the first at the stroke of halftime by Victor Camarasa, and levelled the second time by Danny Ward’s header before Lacazette’s winner.

The home team scored their first goals of the league campaign, but could not take a point from the game despite their remarkable efforts.

They remain with 2 points from 4 games, having drawn goalless twice.
