Iwobi to face Musa as Arsenal draw CSKA in Europa League last eight

Arsenal subjected Newcastle United to a fourth Premier League defeat in a row as Mesut Ozil fired the Gunners back into top four on Saturday.

Ozil’s brilliant volleyed goal in the 23rd minute of the game played at the Emirates Stadium was enough to see the home side through.

Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi was in action for Arsenal from the start and came off for Danny Welbeck in the 72nd minute.

In possession, the Arsene Wenger’s men dominated the game until a late rally from Newcastle which yeilded no benefit for the visitors.

In another encounter on Saturday, Premier League champions, Chelsea edged past Southampton to move level on points with second-placed Manchester United.

Marcos Alonso’s long-range free kick in the injury time of the first half beat Saints goalkeeper Fraser Forster to put the Blues ahead.

Chelsea could have made it 2-0 but Eden Hazard’s goal after the break was not counted as Cesc Fabregas was flagged offside in the build-up.

Super Eagles star, Victor Moses was in action for 82 minutes and helped his side pile up up pressure on the visitors before being substituted by Zappacosta.

Southampton has now gone five games without a win, while it was an eighth win in their past 10 Premier League games for Chelsea.

The Antonio Conte’s side sit 11 points adrift of leaders Manchester City, at least until City host Tottenham later on Saturday.

In the other Premier League games on Saturday, Huddersfield Town thrashed Watford 4-1 while Burnley drew goalless at Brighton.
