Nigerian forward, Alex Iwobi, is ready to join his Arsenal teammates for their Europa League showdown against Bundesliga side, Cologne at the Emirates Stadium.

The 21-year old, who was ruled out of Super Eagles’ 2018 FIFA World Cup double-header against Cameroon with thigh strain, will most likely start for the Gunners on Thursday.

Iwobi posted a picture of himself at training on Wednesday with the caption, “Prepared For The @EuropaLeague ⚽️#17 #COYG.”

Arsenal failed to finish in the top four of the English Premier League last season hence missing out on a place in this season’s Uefa Champions League.

They are drawn in Group H of the Uefa second-tier, and have Bate Borisov and Red Star Belgrade also in the group.

Meanwhile, for the Cologne match, manager Arsene Wenger has rested a number of senior players including Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey, ahead of their crucial Premier League tie against Chelsea at the weekend.
