Arsenal turns down Everton's £30m offer for Iwobi

Super Eagles and Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi may be on his way to Lazio Roma if the Serie A giants are willing to pay the price.

Having already acquired five new signings for an approximate spree of £70 million, Arsenal’s priority at the moment is to sell off players to lighten their heavy squad.

To get the services of Iwobi, Lazio, who need a replacement for Felipe Anderson, will have to cough out £22.3 million which is Arsenal’s price tag on the lad.

Iwobi, 22, still has two years on his current contract but the Gunners, according to a report in Italian outlet II Messaggero, are willing to let him leave if Lazio meet up with their valuation.

Iwobi scored three goals and provided five assists in 26 league appearances for Arsenal last season.

After returning from the World Cup in Russia with the Super Eagles, he was named in Arsenal’s 25-man squad for the pre-season tour of Singapore.

Unai Emery’s men will be playing pre-season friendlies against Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in Singapore.
