Jibrin moved as Dogara reshuffles House committees’ leadership
House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, on Wednesday reshuffled chairmen of some House committees.
One of the members who benefitted from the reconstitution as announced by the Speaker on Wednesday, is the member who got punished for accusing leadership of the House of ‘budget padding ‘ in 2016, Abdulmumin Jibrin.
Jibrin, from Kano State and former appropriations committee chairman, is to now head the committee on land transport.
Recall that the member who seems not to be as vocal as he used to be some time ago, was a former ally of the speaker. He was suspended for over one year from the House, following his accusation that Dogara and other members of the House leadership illegally made insertion into the 2016 budget.

Others who benefited from the reshuffling as chairpersons are Orker Jev, FCT; Edward Pwajok, Rules and Business; and Muntari Dandutse; FCT Judiciary.
