JIGAWA GUBER: APC’s Badaru wins re-election

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced
Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in Jigawa State.

INEC’s Returning Officer for the election and Provost, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, Prof. Azubike Sunny Nwanko, who declared the results on Sunday, said Badaru got 810, 933 votes.

Coming behind the governor is Aminu Ibrahim Ringim of the Peoples Democratic Party who scored 288,356 votes.

Social Democratic Party, SDP, Bashir Adamu Jumbo scored 32894 votes.
