Jimi Agbaje to face Sanwo-Olu, wins Lagos PDP ticket
The coast is now clear for another titanic battle for the office of Governor of Lagos State, as Mr. JimiAgbaje, Friday emerged as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The 2019 contest will be Mr. Agbaje’s third, having contested in 2007 and 2015.
The pharmacist turned politician was declared the winner of the primary election after polling 1,100 votes to defeat his closest contender, Deji Doherty who garnered 742 votes.

Deji Doherty, who accepted the outcome of the primary immediately and congratulated Agbaje, said: “He’s a brother and a great confidant.
“It’s all in the interest of our party and the people of Lagos state. We are resolute that in 2019, Agbaje will become governor,” he said.
