Jonathan in secret visit to Buhari

Published

on

Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday night sneaked into the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he met with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors, at the President’s official residence.

Though the purpose of the meeting as not made known, as it was kept away from the media, many suggest that it is not unlikely that the recent probe launched into the activities of ministries, and agencies under Jonathan’s watch may have informed the secret visit.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, confirmed hat both men met, but said he was not privy to issues discussed.

It was gathered that no other person was present during the meeting, except both leaders, no photographs were even taken.

The next day, former President Olusegun Obasanjo also paid a secret meeting to President Buhari

But unlike Jonathan’s visit, one of the photographers attached to the President was able to capture the two leaders. It is not yet clear if the two visits were connected.
