Jonathan to bring Buhari, Obasanjo, Atiku together

President Muhammadu Buhari, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, have been invited for the launching of a book by immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan.

The launch of the new book by Jonathan which is entitled “My Transition Hours”, will take place on November 20 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

Details of dignitaries invitation letters for the event sent out, showed that, President Buhari, his opponent for the seat of presidency in 2019, Atiku, and Obasanjo, who remains one of his fiercest critics, are all expected to grace the ceremony.

Jonathan elected Buhari as a special guest of honour; Obasanjo to chair the event, while Atiku will be a special guest during the event.

Also to play important roles at the event are the former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Salihu Alfa Belgore, who will serve as the book reviewer; Gen. Theophilus Y. Danjuma (rtd), to play the role of chief book presenter and Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, as the chief host.

Some African heads of state, former leaders and international personalities are also expected to attend the occasion, including President Alassane Ouattara of Cote d’Ivoire and former Ghanaian President, John Dramani Mahama.

The book according to a sample of the invitation letter signed by the chairman of the Book Presentation Committee, Bashir Yuguda, explains that it gives some insight into the “2015 presidential election and also reflects on some key decisions” the former president made while in office.
