Joshua eyes Stiverne fight

British heavyweight Anthony Joshua has said that Bermane Stiverne ‘fits the criteria’ of opponent that he is hoping to face in his next fight.
Last month, Joshua was taken into the seventh round for just the second time in his professional career by Dominic Breazeale but the IBF champion has suggested that he wants to face another durable fighter when he returns to the ring towards the end of 2016.
The 26-year-old told Sky Sports News: “Stiverne is skilful and he’s already been at the top and he’s only had one loss to the world champion now (Deontay Wilder) and he’s durable.
“People want to see me go the distance, to see if I’ve got the stamina, so I just think he fits that criteria.”
Stiverne won the WBC crown in May 2014 but he has fought just once since his defeat to Deontay Wilder in January 2015.
