Joshua will present his belts to Buhari in matter of days -Sports Minister

Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare has revealed that world heavyweight champions, Anthony Joshua will be presenting his titles to President Muhammadu Buhari in days to come.

Dare was said to have revealed this during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday.

Laolu Akande, who is the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Office of the Vice President, made the revelation to the media while briefing State House correspondents on behalf Dare.

“The Minister of Sports announced that Anthony Joshua will be presenting his belts to the President in a matter of days,” Akande stated.

Joshua, a Briton of Nigerian descent, recently defeated Andy Ruiz Jr to win back the WBA, WBO and IBF titles he lost to the Mexican-American when he fell to a shock defeat in June.

Joshua will be looking to fight Deontay Wilder, who is the current holder of the fourth heavyweight title, in hope to emerge as the next undisputed champion of the world.
