After calling for a revolution, Nigerian govt arrests Omoyele Sowore
The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the last election, Omoyele Sowore, has been arrested by the government.
Sowore, founder of online news platform, Sahara Reporters, and an activist, was arrested by Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) In the early hours of Saturday.
In a terse tweet on his Twitter handle announcing the arrest, Sowore wrote, “DSS invades Sowore’s.” he added “Jap” apparently suggesting his supposed invaders had grabbed him.

There are speculations that his arrest may not be unconnected with his August 5, planned revolution against the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government.
