Again, Lagos hit by massive explosion (video)

Explosions, suspected to be from breaches on oil pipelines, rocked Abule Ado, a suburb of Lagos, Sunday morning.

Details are yet unknown.

However, Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, in a terse statement, acknowledged that explosions had been reported around the Abule Ado area in Amuwo Odofin local government area of the state and called for calm.

He said officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) were on ground to contain the disaster.

Men of the Federal Fire Service also said via a tweet that their operatives were monitoring developments and mobilising to deal with it.

“We are in touch with our men in Fire Stations around Badagry and Festac, we are trying to gather more information as regards the reported explosion in Lagos State, Nigeria. We are on it,” the service tweeted.
