Amid rape scandal, COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo, steps down

Pastor Abiodun Fatoyinbo, the cleric in the eye of the storm over rape allegations leveled against him by Busola Dakolo, wife of R&B singer, Timi Dakolo, has decided to take a leave of absence from the pulpit of his church.

The embattled Pastor of the Commonwealth Assembly Church (COZA) made his intention known in a post on social media which has been gathering traction.

According to Pastor Fatoyinbo, he made the decision after seeking spiritual counsel from Christian leaders around the world who feel very concerned about the ongoing reports in the media.

He also added that his decision to step down from the pulpit is in the interest of the flock of Christ that issues concerning him do not become a distraction to the church.

Busola Dakolo sent tongues wagging days ago when she revealed in an explosive video interview about how she survived a rape ordeal in the hands of Pastor Fatoyinbo.

The mother of three who accused the cleric of raping her when she was still very young revealed the experience in a YouTube interview with Chude Jideonwo published last Friday by YNaija channel.

According to Busola, she was 16-year-old member of the Divine Delight Club, the precursor to Fatoyinbo’s Commonwealth of Zion Assembly when she said was groomed and allegedly raped by the man of God.
