Buhari to address Nigerians Monday evening on COVID-19 lockdown

President Muhammadu Buhari will today (Monday) address Nigerians by 8pm over the covid-19 lockdown order.

Many Nigerians had been apprehensive as debates had raged over whether or not the federal government should extend the lockdown order placed on Lagos and Ogun states, as well as Abuja in the wake of the ravaging covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria.

The president spokesperson, Garba Shehu made this known on his Twitter handle.

He said, “President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation Monday, April 27, 2020 at 8pm, he wrote.

“Television, radio and other electronic media stations are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast.”

This will be the third time the president will be addressing the nation on the lockdown.
