Eight new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Nigeria; total now 232

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday night confirmed eight new cases of coronavirus in the country.

The new additions have further swelled the number of coronavirus patients in Nigeria to 232.

The centre said on its Twitter handle that five of the cases were in Lagos, two in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and one in Kaduna State.

It said: “Eight new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 5 in Lagos, 2 in the FCT and 1 in Kaduna State. As of 09:30 p.m. on 5th April, there are 232 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 33 have been discharged with five deaths.”
