INEC counters Atiku, says there was never any result on its servers

The office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Imo State is presently on fire.

Persons suspected to be political thugs have set on fire office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ngor Okpuala Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo state.

The hoodlums were said to have broken into the place on Sunday afternoon and set the office ablaze while electoral officials were collating results of the governorship and state assembly elections.

According to an eyewitnesses report, the thugs overpowered the local security guard mounted in the place before setting the place on fire.

It was learnt that policemen quickly intervened and were able to secure the electoral materials in the place.

INEC officials from the place have been taken to the commission’s head office in Owerri, the Imo State capital, where the results are currently being collated.
