Kidnapped Edo Commissioner for Science and Tech regains freedom

The kidnapped Edo State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr Emmanuel Agbale, has been released by his abductors

Agbale was kidnapped last Friday on his way to Ekpoma on the Benin-Ekpoma Road. His police orderly was killed during the incident.

According to family sources, a ransom was paid before he was released after four days by his abductors. The amount paid was however not disclosed.

The Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Benin, Douglas Ogbankwa, who confirmed the development, said, “I can tell you that Emmanuel Agbale has been released; I spoke to his wife Mrs Paula Agbale who confirmed her husband’s release.”
