SEC staff shut down office to prevent Gwarzo’s reinstatement

SEC sacks Ikeja Hotels’ board over Ibrus’ squabbles

There was confusion Monday morning at the Abuja office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as angry protesters shutdown the office complex.

Their grievance was over perceived attempt to reinstate the suspended Director General (DG), Mr Munir Gwarzo.

The National Industrial Court last week ordered the reinstatement of the suspended DG after he was sacked by erstwhile Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun.

Adeosun executed the suspension after an Administrative Panel of Inquiry set up by the Federal Ministry of Finance and headed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Mahmoud Isa-Dutse, indicted Gwarzo.
