Justice Dahiru Saleh, the judge that famously annulled the June 12, 1993, presidential election is dead.

Justice Saleh, a retired judge of the Federal High Court, died on Thursday afternoon at his country home in Azare, the headquarters of Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

The deceased controversially annulled the election regarded by many as the freest and fairest in the nation’s history.

The late business mogul, Chief M.K.O, was the runaway leader in the poll before it was quashed on the request of the then military junta led by Gen. Ibrahim Babangida.

The judge’s grandson, Armayau Abubakar Liman, confirmed the development on his Facebook page.
