Ronaldo scores in Italian Super Cup, wins first title with Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the only goal of the game as Juventus battled AC Milan to win the Supercoppa Italiana on Wednesday night.

The Portuguese, who joined the Serie A giants from Real Madrid at the start of the season, has now won his first title in Italy.

With the victory at Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Juventus became the first side to win the Italian Super Cup eight times.

The Rossoneri were also beaten 4-0 by Juve in the Coppa Italia final in May.

Ronaldo, who nodded in Miralem Pjanic’s lofted pass in the second half to settle the match, has now won the Super Cup in all the countries he has played in.

The goal was his 16th goal of the season for the Serie A leaders.
