KADUNA: Police begin hunt for gunmen who abducted Kaduna monarch

A search party has been launched by the Kaduna State Police Command to free His Royal Highness Yohanna Kukah, the paramount ruler of Ikulu Kingdom who was whisked away by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Tuesday night.

Confirming the kidnap of the monarch, Mr. Mukhtar Aliyu, the command spokesman said the kidnappers were yet to reach out demanding a ransom after the paramount rule was abducted at his residence.
“We have deployed our patrol team and our special unit to rescue the paramount ruler unhurt,” he said.

Aliyu who revealed that the victim is the brother of the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Mathew Kuka also informed that the victim was taken away in a car by his abductors who also kidnapped the monarchs guard.

The attack of the Kaduna monarch is the second in less than a week after the Chief of Numana in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Malam Gambo Makama, and his wife were killed by unknown gunmen on Sunday.

Reports say the assailants who also attacked the Chief’s son and injured him in the process, also burnt down his home located at Gwantu town.
