Kamala Harris congratulates Trump on US election victory

The United States Vice President, Kamala Harris, Wednesday evening called the President-elect, Donald Trump, to congratulate him for winning the 2024 presidential election.

One of Kamala’s senior aides told journalists in Washington.

The 78-year-old Trump makes a remarkable return to the White House four years after he was booted out of office by President Joe Biden after a crushing defeat in the November 2020 election.

Harris discussed with the former president the importance of a peaceful transfer of power and being a president for all Americans.

The Vice President will address her supporters in Washington later Wednesday.
