Kane regrets Chelsea defeat, hopeful of victory against Palace

Though disappointed over their exit from the English FA Cup after a 4-2 thumping by Chelsea last weekend, Tottenham striker Harry Kane is positive that the team will do all it takes to have a go at the Premier League title this season.

Spurs came back twice from behind with goals from Kane and Dele Alli at Wembley, but Chelsea eventually won, now to play in the May 27 final against Arsenal, who also defeated Manchester City in the other semi-final tie.

But Kane advises his teammates that they must learn to “get over the finish line” if they must win such important games.

“We were the better team against Chelsea, but, for one reason or another, we didn’t get over the finish line,” Kane told reporters.

“That’s what we have got to try to do. I don’t think there’s an easy answer to it. It comes over a period of time.

With six matches remaining for them in the top-flight, Spurs are only four points behind league leaders Chelsea, and will travel to Crystal Palace on Wednesday for their week 35 fixture.

“We have got six tough games ahead of us in the Premier League and focus on them and see how high we finish.”

“A lot of people will be looking at us now waiting to see what will happen and has the momentum kind of stopped a bit, but we are focused.

“The only way we can do that is starting with a win on Wednesday. It’s one game at a time, not long left and we have to give it everything,” the 23-year-old England international added.
