Kano govt confirms 74 new cases of COVID-19

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, Saturday confirmed 74 new cases of coronavirus in the state.

Ganduje, who disclosed this at a press briefing in Kano, said out of 489 samples taken to laboratories for tests, 74 tested positive

He said: “We have taken samples of 489 people, out of these number 74 were confirmed positive for the virus.”

Prior to this confirmation, Kano State had 73 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Consequently, the new figure has pushed the state’s overall total to 147, the highest in the country after Lagos.
